The assault caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
